地獄の谷の鬼花火 2026 -Onihanabi-

The event that represents Noboribetsu Onsen.

Wishing for happiness and to carry away people's bad luck, they shoot up fireworks. The “Yuki-jin” who live in Hell Valley, where the legend of Oni Hanabi has been passed down through the generations, shoot powerful Oni Hanabi like an eruption into the night sky.

Event Date and Time:
Monday, June 1, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.
Venue: Noboribetsu Jigokudani Observatory

Duration:
About 20 minutes
Jigokudani Observatory and the footpaths will be closed from 6:30 p.m. until the end of the event. Only the ticket holders are allowed to enter the areas.

Tickets:
Adults: 500 yen (tax included)
Admission is free for elementary school students and younger.

Parking:
Jigokudani parking lot #3 will be open for spectators (capacity: approx. 70 cars; free of charge during the event).
After the event, we will prioritize pedestrians and let cars leave next.
Please wait in the lot until the restrictions are lifted.

The event may be canceled due to inclement weather (rain, strong winds, etc.).
Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in the venue. Please refrain from using camping chairs and umbrellas once the event begins.
Please do not bring pets except for service dogs.
Flying drones are prohibited, and please follow staff’s guidance for using tripods and filming.
The organizers are not liable for any troubles that may occur.
